For the questions you may not have said out loud

When fertility questions start feeling personal, Google is not always enough.

Maybe it has been months. Maybe it has been two years, four years, six years or longer. Maybe people have started asking questions you are tired of answering.

"Should we keep waiting, or is it time to speak with someone who actually understands fertility?"You deserve a private place to ask.
Limited slots, every Thursday this September. Private conversation, no treatment commitment.
Anniversary offer

This September, your first 30 minute consultation is free, every Thursday of the month.

Our way of marking one year of Kindred Path Fertility Centre. For women, men and couples. In partnership with IFM LASUTH.

Does any of this sound like you?

At some point, fertility stops feeling like a question and starts touching everyday life.

It can show up in family conversations, inside your marriage, in prayer, in the silence after another month passes, or in the questions that come when nobody else is around.

If even one of these feels familiar, this page was written for you.
Are you quietly counting the months or years and wondering whether you should still keep waiting?
Are family questions getting harder to laugh off because relatives or in laws keep asking when a baby is coming?
Are you and your spouse avoiding the same conversation because neither of you knows exactly what to say next?
Have you prayed, hoped and waited but still wonder whether medical clarity could help you understand what to do next?
Have you received advice from everywhere and still feel no clearer about what actually applies to you?
Are you afraid that visiting a fertility centre means someone will immediately start talking about IVF before you are even ready?
Would you rather have one private conversation before telling relatives, friends or anybody else what you are thinking?

Sometimes the pressure does not even start with you

A comment at home can stay with you long after everybody else has moved on.

Maybe an in law has started treating you differently. Maybe a harmless looking joke no longer feels harmless. Maybe another naming ceremony means another round of questions.

"When are we coming for yours?"
"What are you people waiting for?"
"Have you gone to check yourself?"
"Maybe you should try what worked for someone I know."

You do not have to make a medical decision because someone is pressuring you. But you deserve the chance to understand your own situation properly.

Inside the marriage

Sometimes the hardest part is what both of you are not saying.

Maybe one person wants answers while the other keeps saying, "Let us give it more time."

Maybe your wife keeps bringing it up and you do not know what to tell her.

Maybe your husband does not want to discuss testing.

Maybe each month comes with expectation, followed by another disappointment neither of you knows how to talk about.

"Is it me?" "Is it my partner?" "Could it be both of us?"

Faith and practical clarity

Maybe you have prayed about it. Asking questions does not take your faith away.

Maybe you have prayed. Maybe people have prayed with you. Maybe you have spoken with a pastor, imam or another trusted spiritual leader.

Your faith may still be where you find strength and hope.

Seeking medical clarity can simply mean giving yourself the opportunity to understand your fertility better while holding on to what you believe.

You can pray. You can hope. You can also ask questions.

Maybe you are tired of searching

Everybody seems to have an answer until it is your own life.

One person says hormones. Another says tubes. Someone says sperm count. Someone talks about fibroids. Then the medical terms start coming from every direction.

After all the advice, the question may still be simple: "What actually applies to us?"

Walking into a fertility centre does not mean you have agreed to IVF.

A first consultation can simply be a conversation. You explain what has been happening. You ask your questions. You hear a professional perspective. Then you decide what you want to do with that information.

1
You are not committing to IVF.You are asking for information.
2
You are not committing to IUI.You are having a consultation.
3
You are not agreeing to treatment by asking questions. You remain in control of what happens next.
4
You do not need to arrive with a diagnosis. You can arrive with questions.

There are a limited number of 30 minute appointments each Thursday. Once a time is fully booked, it closes.
Before you book, here is what the 30 minutes actually looks like

A private conversation, not an examination you need to prepare for.

First

You talk, we listen

You explain what has been happening in your own words. Nothing is rushed, and nothing you say is treated as a silly question.

Then

You ask anything

Bring the questions you have been carrying, including the ones you have never said out loud to anyone. You leave with a clearer picture.

After that

You decide next steps

You hear a professional perspective on what may be worth considering, then you decide what you want to do. No pressure to commit to anything.

You choose what fits your day

No guessing when you will be seen.

When you are ready, the booking page is separate from this page. You choose a Thursday, pick an available time, enter your details and confirm your consultation.

Bring the questions you think sound silly

You do not need to prepare a medical speech before you come.

Your first question can sound exactly the way you would ask it at home.

"Doctor, how long is too long to keep trying?"
"Can everything be okay with my wife and the issue still be from me?"
"My period comes every month. Does that automatically mean my fertility is okay?"
"We already have one child. Why are we finding it difficult now?"
"My husband does not want to come. Can I come first?"
"Do we both need tests?"
"Does coming here mean you are going to tell us to do IVF?"
"I am getting older. Should I actually be worried?"
"We did tests somewhere else before. Can we talk about what they mean?"
"What if I am just overthinking everything?"
There is no embarrassing first question.

Perhaps you have been carrying this for longer than anybody knows

You do not have to solve everything in 30 minutes.

But 30 private minutes may be enough to finally ask the questions you have been carrying and understand what a sensible next step could look like for you.
